Who I Am

I am a passionate software engineer originally from Ghana, now living in Richmond, VA. I started programming five years ago and specialize in Java, JavaScript, Python, Spring Boot, and AI development. I have worked on personal projects like a Smart Inventory Management System, a Weight Loss Mentor AI, an Expense Tracker Mobile App, a Criminal Facial Recognition System and others. I enjoy solving real-world problems through software and mentoring others in programming and AI concepts. Today, my focus is on designing reliable backend services, crafting clean APIs, and using Java,Python and Javascrpit to deliver fast, accessible experiences on the web. I care deeply about code quality, testing, performance, and deploying with confidence using Docker and CI/CD. I’m also exploring practical AI—building assistants and tools that enhance developer productivity and learning. Outside of coding, I enjoy playing soccer and photography, which help me stay creative and motivated. I also mentor fellow developers, volunteer at local tech events, and spend time reading about distributed systems, product design, and AI ethics—anything that helps me build thoughtful, user-centered software.
